My teaching was born out of my love for yoga and the beautiful and profound personal journey I found myself on. I simply wanted to keep learning and keep sharing the knowledge with as many people as I could. I enjoy teaching people of all ages and abilities as much as I love the challenges that I continue to discover in my own personal practice. It is my hope that through my classes people will also experience the deep joy, serenity and healing that yoga has offered for me.
I trained at the British School of Yoga in 2009 and have been teaching yoga for over 14 years. I travelled to India in November 2014 where I spent a month at the Sivananda Ashram Neyyar Dam, Kerala where I studied Traditional Hatha Yoga and qualified as a Sivananda Teacher. I was honoured to be awarded with the title Yoga Siromani which signifies jewel of the crown of yoga. My teaching also draws upon my experience practicing and studying other styles of Yoga; Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Vinyasa, Kundlini , Dru and Yin.
Like many spiritual practices yoga is what you make it. You can dedicate yourself to a certain school of yoga and stick with that which I did for many years....... Now I am more of an explorer. The world is far to big and diverse to stick with just one way of doing things. I prefer to explore what feeds my body, mind and spirit, Resulting in a holistic approach to yoga !
I draw inspiration for my classes from nature and the seasons. I enjoy exploring how we can adapt our lifestyle and yoga practice in harmony with the rhythm of nature. . I also like to connect with my celtic roots creating themes and weaving in poems and stories from the celtic world.
In 2015 I studied with ITM - International Thai Massage School, to learn the art of Thai massage. I offer this beautiful treatment to you with metta, the practice of universal love compassion and kindness.
In 2018 I undertook an in-depth study into the healing powers of Reiki. I am a certified Reiki Practitioner offering this deeply relaxing and nourishing energy healing to you from the heart.
I live in the Vale of Glamorgan and host classes, workshops and retreats around the UK and overseas.
